It's very sturdy, and looks great in my living room. Assembly took a couple hours by myself (mainly because there are so many pieces). There was one missing connector piece from my package but it wasn't necessary to finish assembling. There are a couple words of caution I have though if you are considering buying this item. It is heavy. It's over 100 lbs assembled, so if you are smaller person, I recommend having a friend help you put it together and move it. Second, the drawers have a stopping mechanism which keeps the drawer from sliding out completely. If you're planning on putting movies in the drawers like I did, be aware that the movies in the rear of the drawer may be slightly difficult to take out. Finally, the instructions aren't terrible, but make sure you identify connector and hardware pieces before you start putting it together. There are a couple pieces...
